3 Signs You're Living in Overwhelm

Sometimes, we don't even realize how much pressure we’re carrying—until our bodies or minds start to break down.
Here are three common signs that you're living in overwhelm:

1. You feel constantly behind.

No matter how much you do, there’s always more. Your to-do list never ends, and instead of feeling accomplished, you feel like you're failing.

2. Your body is in a constant state of tension.

Tight shoulders. Jaw clenching. Shallow breathing. These are physical signs your nervous system is stuck in “go mode.”

3. You're snapping or withdrawing more than usual.

Irritability or emotional shut-down is often your system’s way of saying, “I can’t take anymore.”

A Simple Breathing Tool for When Life Feels Like Too Much

Let’s reset your nervous system in under 2 minutes.

Try this 4-2-6 breath:🧘‍♀️

  1. Inhale through your nose for 4 counts

  2. Hold your breath for 2 counts

  3. Exhale slowly through your mouth for 6 counts

Repeat this 5 times.

💡 This activates your parasympathetic nervous system—the part responsible for rest, calm, and digestion. It tells your body: “You’re safe.”
